A product-led introduction to CABAIA, comparing an 18-litre Adventurer backpack, the 40- and 48-litre travel duffles, a 5.8-litre Crossbody and the convertible Léonard backpack.
Adventurer Medium: a concrete everyday backpack
The Adventurer Medium Lobito provides a useful reference for understanding the collection. Its page lists an 18-litre capacity, dimensions of 27 × 41 × 16 cm and a weight of 0.89 kg. The padded laptop compartment is advertised for devices up to 13 inches. These specifications belong to this model, not automatically to every CABAIA backpack.
Its format is intended to organise an everyday load rather than replace a large travel bag. Check your laptop’s actual external dimensions, including a case, rather than treating screen diagonal as a guaranteed fit. The padded shoulder straps and suitcase attachment strap are relevant features if the bag will accompany a separate rolling case.
Interchangeable pockets and the Lobito materials
The Lobito listing includes two interchangeable front pouches: cream Fort de Sao Pedro and patterned cream Rio Catumbela. The wide-opening main compartment and MOLLE attachment system distinguish the bag from a simple zip-top sack. Side pouches are shown as separate accessories, so do not assume every pictured add-on is included.
The product’s composition section specifies recycled polyester for the main outer fabric, polyurethane for the coated outer section and polyester for the lining. It describes the bag as water-repellent, not as a sealed waterproof container. The care instructions favour gentle cleaning with a damp cloth and soap rather than machine washing.
Duffle Adventurer Reykjavik: 40 litres and several carry options
The Duffle Adventurer Reykjavik is a different format: 40 litres, 29 × 30 × 45 cm and 1.34 kg. The page specifies a padded compartment for a laptop up to 14 inches, shoe storage and a wide opening. Shoulder-carry handles, backpack straps and a side handle offer different ways to pick up or carry the bag.
This listing includes two interchangeable pouches, navy Harpa and patterned navy Solfar. A dedicated shoe space is useful when separating footwear from folded clothing. Nevertheless, a bag’s usable packing space depends on its internal layout as well as the headline capacity; compare that layout with what you actually take on a short trip.
Duffle Explorer Reykjavik: a larger travel alternative
The Duffle Explorer Reykjavik increases the stated capacity to 48 litres, with dimensions of 28 × 58 × 30 cm and a weight of 1.43 kg. Its features include a padded 15-inch laptop compartment, separate shoe compartment, integrated backpack straps, magnetic handles and a bottle pocket positioned at 45 degrees.
The page describes a 220-degree opening and includes one interchangeable Reykjavik pouch. It lists recycled polyester outer fabric and polyester lining. Compared with the 40-litre Adventurer, this is not simply a new colour: the dimensions, opening, included pouch and equipment layout change. Airline acceptance must still be checked against the booked carrier’s actual allowance.
Crossbody Adventurer Medium Aurland: a smaller daily load
The Crossbody Adventurer Medium Aurland is listed at 5.8 litres and 26 × 20 × 11 cm. It has a wide opening, an internal zipped pocket, a zipped divider, a rear zipped pocket and a key clip. Its adjustable strap is removable, and the listing includes the matching Crossbody Medium Aurland pouch.
This format suits a smaller set of essentials rather than the laptop-and-clothes load of the backpacks and duffles. The material description specifies recycled polyester main fabric, a polyurethane-coated outer section and polyester lining. The word Medium belongs to the Crossbody family; it does not mean the same capacity as an Adventurer Medium backpack.
Léonard Ginostra: convertible Studio design
The Léonard Ginostra backpack belongs to the CABAIA Studio collaboration with Constance Gennari. It is listed at 18 litres and 35 × 38.5 × 17 cm, with a compartment advertised for a laptop up to 14 inches. The page presents three carrying modes: backpack, shoulder or crossbody carry, and handbag-style carry.
Its composition differs from the Lobito: recycled polyester outer fabric and a lining combining 60% recycled polyester with 40% recycled cotton. The care advice includes gentle brushing and local cleaning, followed by air drying away from heat. Importantly, this collaboration lists a two-year warranty; do not extend the lifetime-warranty wording of other models to every Studio piece.
Choose by load, layout and exact model
For everyday organisation, start with the Adventurer backpack’s dimensions and laptop compartment. For clothing and separate footwear, compare the two duffles. For a small daily carry, inspect Crossbody rather than choosing a bag solely because its family also uses the word Adventurer.
The decisive checklist is capacity, external dimensions, empty weight, laptop space, carry options and included pouches. Material and warranty details should be checked on the exact model and colour page. This approach preserves what makes CABAIA distinctive—adaptable pockets and varied carry formats—without pretending that every bag has identical specifications.
